Born in Palmira-Colombia immigrated to this country 23 years ago to start my family at the age of 18…
I have known Mike, Robin and the Giamarino Family for more than 20 years.
When Mike decided to start Classic we met in a coffee shop to interview; I remember being extremely nervous because of my language barrier…
Despite this, he shared his vision for Classic Café for the future and I could really see myself being a part of it.
However, I doubted I could ever play such a significant role but Mike was willing to help and mentor me and I was willing to learn.
I started as a cashier, began to really focus on learning English and overall improving my skills. I was and continue to be to a team player and have always tried to make customers/clients experience in the cafes/buildings delightful.
Fast forward 18 years with Classic Cafe and many roles within our organization- as the VP of Operations, I can proudly say that with hard work and determination anything is possible.
I have learned and grown as a person, understanding the complexity of the industry is something that I believe I will never stop learning.
I am thankful to God for the opportunity and privilege of having Mike as my mentor, his family has become family to me; as well as many other team members and clients along the way.
Last but not least important big thanks to my family for all their support and to my son for being the spark of my life, I’m ultra blessed.

I have to say Michael and Isabel really surprised me today with my 15 year anniversary cake, card and money plant !!! where did the time go? Well it was spent right here with my Classic Café and Givaudan family. I think one of the best kept secrets in food is corporate dining and when you have a company like Classic that will let you do what you love there’s no comparison. You never stop learning with food and ways to “create” makes Classic Café the place to be.
Thank you for allowing me to do what i love to do after all these years, it never gets old !!!!
Chef Jose Flores – 18 Years at Classic Cafe
In 2004 I started working for Classic Café. After so many years, it now feels like we are all family. Especially because, for all these years, I have had the pleasure of working with my wife and sister-in-law. So, it is really a family-run operation. I have worked with Mike and Robin for over 28 years now, and our families have grown together from babies to adults. They are as much a part of my family now, as we are to theirs. It has always been such a great, accepting, and accommodating, a place to work at. We work together to make amazing food for the customers. Interacting with all our customers has been one of my favorite parts of this career. Another fun part of the job is the opportunity to do so much catering for parties. We are constantly learning new ways to make and present our creations. There are always different things to be done. I would recommend to anyone that this is a fantastic place to work and build a career.

Since 2004 I have known my bosses Robin and Michel. In 2005 they gave me the opportunity to work in their company Classic Cafe since that day I feel grateful for the opportunity working in Classic Cafe is like working together with a big family. Where you have the opportunity to learn new things to develop your ideas and career. Personally since the first day I started Intel now I felt that I have belonged to this great family called Classic Café. I try to bring the best version of myself and do my work with positive attitude and with my heart thank you Robin and Michel for giving me the opportunity and I hope to be part of this team for many more years to come in Classic Café.

When I arrived to this county I arrived full of hopes and dreams and thanks to God I have been able to accomplish these life goals. Classic Cafe has allowed me to believe in me and grow as an individual by discovering hidden talents; starting as a cashier and through the years as Front of The House Manager. And at the same time it showed me to have passion for what I do and teach others what I have learned.
